In 33 years, I have questioned a few Dentists and even spoke up for patients behind the scenes because I took an Oath a Hippocratic oath that means" To do no harm" and that includes things I have been a witness to. I am dedicating to helping the Dentistry Industry by bringing issues to light and not just for the General public but for my fellow assistants that are overlooked and overworked and some of the other staff members within Dentistry because there are good and bad apples in every town, and we have resources at our fingertips to check out someone before we go seek their professional advice.
We use to be more unaware of things going on in other towns or even our own but with so much social media it gets out there and it should anything left in the dark will manifest. This not to be abused on either end but the General Public and Staff Members need to be aware they can voice their complaints. Their are so many great Dentist that struggle while others are booming that are cutting corners. I have been verbally attack for bringing such issues up and that is ok because I do what I am called to do by Jesus. if others get upset it is because they are guilty or scared of something and instead of getting upset ask what do I need to improve in my career. Sometimes we need to have that fire put under us to keep on doing a great job. I will have another post soon about a company that has many complaints about it but the problem with big companies is some places run great while others don't and then the whole company gets a bad name. No worries I come with solutions with a referral page to the right of this page as well as a page you can verify your dentist is listed at the bottom.
Most Dental Professionals expect these questions to be asked but there is so much time to get your work done so I strongly recommend you ask for a short consultation about their office prior to appointment or let the front know so they can set time aside to speak about such matters. Everyone time is important especially if they are doing things right they need all the time they have. The ones who are not will get caught they always do in my professional that is what I have seen.
Never let a Health Care Professional NOT use gloves when doing an Oral Exam!
